Gulfstream Delivers First B-registered G650 in China

Gulfstream Aerospace delivered the first B-registered G650 to an undisclosed customer based in mainland China earlier this month, a company spokeswoman confirmed to AIN. AIN International The third flight-test Global 7000, FTV3, completed a 4-hour, 10-minute maiden flight yesterday from Toronto Downsview Airport, where Bombardier Aerospace assembles the ultra-long-range business jet. Piloted by Logan Lamping and Derek Thresher, the twinjet—registered C-GLBX—reached FL510 and 320 knots during the mission. GAMA: 1Q Bizjet Shipments Rise, Turboprops Plunge

General aviation airplane shipments in the first quarter ticked up 2.3 percent from a year ago, though billings slid 10.9 percent, according to data released today by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).
